School of Pharmacy

The Multicultural Pharmacy Scholars Program (MPSP) offers financial and academic support to high-achieving pharmacy students from under-represented backgrounds. MPSP scholars can take advantage of enhanced faculty advising, peer support and social opportunities for a more enriching academic experience. Students interested in participating the Multicultural Scholars Program within the School of Pharmacy can apply using this link once they are accepted into the program. MPSP students can also apply for funding assistance to attend professional meetings locally, throughout the United States and abroad.  The KU School of Pharmacy is a world-class research institution and one of the country's premier pharmacy schools.  We train the pharmacists who serve the people of Kansas and researchers who help solve the world's most pressing medical problems.

"While only being a MSP Director a short time, I have been delighted to get to know the MSP scholars.  They have great life stories, are creative, work hard and have fun together.  My hope for the MSP students is to build a sustainable and prosperous future for each student and help build for those who will follow." ~ Dennis Grauer, MS, PhD and MSP Director, School of Pharmacy

"I would like to thank MSP for the generous travel scholarship for the National Community Pharmacists Association 2018 National Convention. The trip was very rewarding and I cannot express enough how beneficial this convention was toward my educational and professional career in pharmacy.  I would characterize my experience as educational, empowering and motivating.  I was able to meet old friends and make new ones. This experience has enriched my pharmacy career and I would like to thank MSP for their support." ~ Tamela Smith, MSP Scholar in Pharmacy
