Multicultural Business Scholars Program

Do you see yourself here?  We are  a multicultural group comprised of African-American, Hispanic-American, Asian-American, Indigenous students, first generation college students, and students from low socio-economic environments who want to benefit from supportive relationships and who choose to achieve academic excellence.

As a member of the Multicultural Business Scholars Program, you will join a community of students and professors who help make your transition from high school to college successful. We provide scholarships and assist you with the academic, social, and personal aspects of your experiences at the University of Kansas to help you fully realize the benefits of your college education.

In addition to the focus on academics, there are exciting extra-curricular activities that help students fully mature and develop those skills critical to being a success in the community of business professionals. You can count on attending the theater, operas, ballets, concerts, museums, hearing and talking with interesting guest speakers, delicious meals, and the fellowship of people who care about you and your future.  We also have a very active network of corporate sponsors who encourage our students by providing internship and employment opportunities.

As a member of the MBSP you’ll be expected to engage in:

  • Full class attendance
  • Active participation in group meetings
  • Preparation for meetings with faculty director
  • Commitment to academic excellence and integrity while maintaining a minimum 2.5 GPA
